Hello, my name is Lynna Vo (pronounced Lee-Na).

California native turned New Orleans local, Lynna blends beauty, medicine, and creativity through her work as a Dermatology Physician Assistant in Louisiana. Her career journey began in the beauty industry, where she studied esthetics at John Jay Beauty College and earned national recognition after winning the 2011 Maybelline + CVS “Be a Sensational Makeup Artist” competition. That opportunity brought her to New York Fashion Week, where she worked backstage alongside Maybelline’s lead makeup artists at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Before transitioning into medicine, Lynna spent years immersed in the beauty and entertainment world, dancing professionally as both an AFL Voodoo Doll and NBA Hornets Honeybee, hosting New Orleans Saints game-day events, and becoming recognized as one of New Orleans’ top bridal makeup artists for three consecutive years.

With a passion for both aesthetics and patient care, Lynna later pursued medicine, earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from LSU Health Sciences Center in 2023. Today, she practices dermatology under the mentorship of Dr. Gordon Russo at Westside Dermatology, where she combines her artistic eye and medical expertise to help patients feel confident in their skin.

When she’s not in clinic, you’ll likely find her exploring New Orleans, working on creative projects, or spending time with her beloved fur babies, Prince Hairy and River.
